Cyprus Maritime Academy was founded in 2015-2016 and is the first of its kind in Cyprus. The academy aims to develop and offer competencies in the three main areas of the Marine Industry: Nautical Science (Officer in Charge of Navigational Watch), Marine Engineering (Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch), and Marine Electro-technology (Electro-technical Officer). The courses offered at CyMA are based at Intercollege Nicosia. The training will also take place in Limassol, the heart of maritime in Cyprus. Cyprus Maritime Academy aims to attract local, EU, and international cadets. Therefore, all subjects are delivered in English, the international maritime language.
