Master of Science in Informatics (MSI): Computer Networks and Security - HAEC

The program draws upon a set of competitive strengths, such as fully equipped Cisco-based labs for hands-on sessions and courses provided in collaboration with ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association). In fact, the program is listed as one of the two worldwide that are aligned with the ISACA curriculum in Information Security.

In addition, students in the program are able to:

• Participate in ongoing faculty-student research projects in areas such as embedded systems and pattern recognition.
• Qualify for one year of work experience towards the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM® designation).
• Earn the CISCO CCNA certificate.
• Expand their security knowledge by studying from a range of electives such as Information Security Management, Applied Cryptography and Application Risk Management.

Alumni of the strand in Computer Networks and Security are equipped with the skills to follow a career path as network engineers, network administrators, information security and network security managers. During their studies they will also have the opportunity to obtain specialized, elite certifications in the field of secure networks design and security management
