The strand in Applications and Software Development is revised each year in light of emerging technologies in regards to programming languages and techniques, and is supported by dedicated labs (e.g. Linux, IBM, Apple) to provide hands–on experience in programming. Program strengths include the following:
The program is designed to support both traditional and emerging career opportunities. Graduates in this strand obtain competitive advantage in career paths related to application developing, managing the development of software systems, as well as design and requirements analysis of information systems. MSI students acquire this knowledge through the diverse core courses of the program, such as IT Strategy and Management and System Analysis and Design, in combination with a variety of elective courses.

Hellenic American University is a private, non-profit American university accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). Hellenic American University programs are offered in Athens through Hellenic American College, which is licensed by the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports. Graduates receive their degree directly from Hellenic American University.
Scholarships cover tuition for courses that count toward degree completion. They do not cover other fees or financial obligations incurred from courses dropped after the add/drop period.
Financial aid applications for new students are submitted alongside the admission application. Evaluation takes place following the applicant's academic acceptance.
