Program Description

Through five modules you will learn about Consumer Psychology. We are proud that the teaching team includes renowned academics and our psychology research has been classified as world-leading and internationally excellent in the Government’s 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF). You will be taught the workings of the consumer mind in order to explain why humans respond to different types of consumer stimuli. Specifically, you will learn about what captures consumers' attention, how their perception may be altered by different types of a design elements as well as factors that affect the consumer decision-making process.

Notes:

Accepted qualifications:

  • Minimum classification of 2.2 in BA or BSc Psychology with Graduate Basis for Recognition (GBR) for the British Psychology Society (BPS)
  • 2.1 or above in non-accredited BA or BSc psychology related.
  • Graduates from other disciplines (e.g. undergraduate degrees in Marketing, Advertising or Business) whose degrees contain at least one module of taught statistics, mathematics and/or research methods and have a 2.1 or above can also apply.
  • A recognised pre-masters course.
  • Holders of the Metaptychion Spoudon Diploma (Master's degree) or higher qualifications will also be considered.

Alternative English language requirements:

  • Our preferred tests are IELTS, TOEFL iBT (with 88 overall and a minimum of 17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking) and Pearson PTE (with 61 overall and a minimum of 51 in all components), so we recommend you take one of these if possible. We also recognise the following qualifications/tests:
  1. Trinity College: Integrated Skills in English (ISE)
  2. LanguageCert International ESOL SELT tests
  3. International English Language Competency Assessment (IELCA)

Important Information:

  • If you don't meet our English language requirements, we offer a range of courses which could help you achieve the level required for entry. We also provide our own English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT) in the UK and overseas.
