Program Description

This part time course will provide opportunities for you to engage with key principles and philosophies of teaching and learning, which you can apply in your specific professional context. You’ll be supported through this process through a range of activities and formative assessments, complemented by individual tutorials that encourage personal reflection and goal setting, developing you as an independent learner. Further to this you’ll be given the opportunity to develop specialist skills in healthcare education relating to your field, culminating in a research project in an area of your choice. You’ll have direct access to a Faculty with a wealth of experience in delivering healthcare education, who will support you in addressing an authentic research problem.

Main requirements:

  • Students must be registered practitioners in the field of health or social care. It is anticipated therefore that students undertaking the course will currently be employed in professional practice and will be engaged in facilitating teaching and learning as part of their professional role.

Other accepted qualifications:

  • A recognised pre-masters course.
  • Holders of the Metaptychion Spoudon Diploma (Master's degree) or higher qualifications will also be considered.

Alternative English language requirements:

  • Our preferred tests are IELTS, TOEFL iBT (with 88 overall and a minimum of 17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking) and Pearson PTE (with 61 overall and a minimum of 51 in all components), so we recommend you take one of these if possible. We also recognise the following qualifications/tests:
  1. Trinity College: Integrated Skills in English (ISE)
  2. LanguageCert International ESOL SELT tests
  3. International English Language Competency Assessment (IELCA)

Important Information:

  • If you don't meet our English language requirements, we offer a range of courses which could help you achieve the level required for entry. We also provide our own English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT) in the UK and overseas.
