This Master in Environment and Energy (MSc) covers a blend of scientific, technical, managerial and entrepreneurial topics such as the policies and regulations that impact on environmental management. The aim is to prepare students for a career in the emerging energy and environmental sectors.
Designed and delivered by a multi-disciplinary team of leading academics, the course is supported by input from real-world industrial practitioners. Abertay has many years’ experience in environmental postgraduate education and a high research rating in Environmental Science in Scotland.
This Master in Environment and Energy (MSc) broadens students' understanding of the business skills needed to help them protect the environment as part of their job. Students will graduate able to manage successful energy and environmental career challenges from the very start of their career.

Industry Placement
Students will be registered on the MSc Environment and Energy, which includes a research project. All students will get the opportunity to apply to undertake an industrial placement as an alternative to the research project. Placements, subject to availability, are on a competitive basis and are subject to an application and interview with the placement provider. If successful, students will be moved on to the MSc Environment and Energy with Industrial Practise.
