Program Description

Chartered architectural technologists lead on technological design. Our Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) accredited course explores the science of architecture: learn to turn design concept into reality where passive design, innovation and performance are key drivers. You can choose to take a placement year in industry.

Our course focuses on the link between building design and production, and gives you the technical understanding needed to bridge the two.

• Tuition fees for students who have citizens' rights after Brexit: £9,250/year.

Alternative English language requirements:

  • Our preferred tests are IELTS, TOEFL iBT (80 overall and a minimum of 17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking) and Pearson PTE ( 57 overall and a minimum of 51 in all components), so we recommend you take one of these if possible. We also recognise the following qualifications/tests:
  1. Trinity College: Integrated Skills in English (ISE)
  2. LanguageCert International ESOL SELT tests
  3. International English Language Competency Assessment (IELCA)

Important Information:

  • If you don't meet our English language requirements, we offer a range of courses which could help you achieve the level required for entry. We also provide our own English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT) in the UK and overseas.
  • If you've completed study at university level in the UK or your home country you may be eligible to enter directly into Year 2 or 3 of a related degree course at ARU.
