Program Description

The Master in Sociology (MA) at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) program will help students deepen their knowledge of the theoretical and substantive aspects of contemporary sociology. Students will develop expertise in the principles and application of social research methodology, and examine key debates and issues like progress and reason, genetic structuralism and the role of modernity.

The Master in Sociology (MA) offers optional modules which give students the opportunity to explore areas such as modern crime control, nationalism or nature and society. The studies are supported by the program's research-active staff, whose interests reflect the latest developments in sociology.
