Make a difference in a child’s life with a Master of Arts in Teaching. Both our early childhood and childhood MAT programs culminate in dual degrees in regular and special education, and focus on preparing you to teach in an urban environment like New York.

Early Childhood Dual Specialization

The MAT early childhood education program culminates in a dual degree in regular and special education for children from birth to second grade, particularly those in an urban environment. The program offers a 12-month, full-time and part-time course of study, combining on campus and online courses. You'll graduate prepared for New York State teacher certification, including passing the edTPA.

Childhood Dual Specialization

The childhood program culminates in a dual degree in regular and special education for students in grades 1-6, particularly those in an urban environment. The childhood specialization MAT program offers a 12-month, full-time and part-time course of study, combining on campus and online courses.
