The Gippsland Campus is located in the township of Churchill in the foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges. It is within easy driving distance of Victoria's Mt Baw Baw ski resort, white water rivers, and coastal parks, including Wilson's Promontory and Gippsland Lakes. Nearby is the Tarra Bulga National Park, a spectacular temperate rainforest that is home to giant mountain ash trees and lyrebirds. The traditional custodians for this area are the Gunai Kurnai people.
