Educational Institution Information

In January 2008, the Newark Center for Health Sciences and Technology (NCHST) opened its doors. The Newark Center is situated on a 31-acre site adjacent to San Francisco Bay on Cherry Street west of Highway 880. The campus is a model for other colleges to follow, having received LEED Platinum Certification from the US Green Building Council, the highest achievable level of sustainability. It is a campus that teaches responsible, long-term resource management through both example and intent. The design of the Center is tailored to meet students' academic and service needs, with circulation routes in and around the building promoting student interaction and ease of access. The structure is divided into four wings that connect at a central hub.
