Educational Institution Information

The Fremont campus opened in September 1974 on a beautiful 534-acre hillside in southeast Alameda County, between Highways 680 and 880, just south of historic Mission San Jose. With 300 acres set aside for open space, the campus provides students with a peaceful learning environment. Natural features such as black oak, chaparral, and seasonal springs dominate the landscape and welcome wildlife in addition to the academic setting. Ohlone College has over 15,000 students enrolled each year and offers 189 associate degrees and certificates. Ohlone celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2017, with the May 19, 2017 graduation ceremony marking the college's 50th graduating class.
