New Bulgarian University Accreditations
NBU can legally operate as a university and award degrees that are recognised and popular, because it is an institution with numerous accreditations such as the following:
- In 2001, the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency granted NBU a six-year accreditation.
- In 2006, the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency awarded NBU a second six-year maximum accreditation.
- In 2012 the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency provided NBU with its third six-year accreditation.
New Bulgarian University Bachelor's
Bachelor's degree programs are typically four years long, but the credit system allows for an individual study plan that can vary in length.
The first and second years consist of general education courses and modules focused on the programme of your choice.
During the third and fourth years, the curriculum includes full-time courses in the program's field as well as training courses such as internships, practices, projects, and seminars.
Their goal is to give students the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills gained in full-time courses to solve tasks related to practicing job responsibilities in a real-world working environment.
New Bulgarian University Master's
After completing a Bachelor's degree program at NBU or another higher education institution, students apply for Master's degree programs. The NBU offers preparatory modules for candidates who have completed a Bachelor's degree program in a field other than the selected Master's degree program.
EU applicants must attend an interview or exam, write a motivational essay, and meet any additional program requirements. Non-EU citizens with a degree can apply by submitting the necessary documents.

The university campus is divided into two buildings that house the Aula, Library, University Theater, NBU Museum, UniArt Gallery, Medical Center with a First-Aid Room and a Dental Office, Sports Center, coffee shops, a restaurant, and a Bulgarian Posts branch.
