    Program Description

    We emphasize practical clinical experience along with a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology, nutrition, and fitness and conditioning, among other subjects. You’ll work with student-athletes from Quinnipiac’s Division I volleyball, soccer, field hockey, cross country, tennis, basketball and ice hockey teams as well as athletes in local high schools and community-based health care settings, all under the supervision of certified athletic trainers.

    • As an athletic trainer, you’ll work with all types of patients to prevent and treat injuries, from student-athletes to members of professional sports teams.
    • If you are interested in the arts, you might work backstage with Cirque du Soleil rehabilitating a dancer’s injury while setting goals for a quick recovery.
    • You also might help Navy SEALs with conditioning as an independent contractor or fitness director on a military base.
