Program Description

A Women’s and Gender Studies degree is relevant to navigating today’s world and provides a framework for students to apply the skills and knowledge to their academic, professional, and personal lives. Like a microscope that brings the world into focus, this framework allows us to see how our social and cultural lives are governed by gender relations. Looking at the world through a Women’s and Gender Studies lens allows us to more directly and effectively address issues of social justice and to bring about social change as it pertains to gender relations in the contemporary world.
