The School of Marine Engineering is one of the principal academic units of the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, serving as a leading centre of excellence for education, training, and research in marine engineering. The School was established on 1 November 1999 as part of the reform of Bulgaria's military education system and in accordance with the provisions of the Higher Education Act.
