The bachelor of Science (Nursing) provides a broad knowledge and skill base that will enable students to practice independently and interdependently as registered nurses within the Australian healthcare industry.
The course is designed to enable graduates to be well prepared to make significant contributions to the outcomes of patients within a diverse range of health care settings.

Learning Outcomes
- Apply broad health knowledge to a range of theoretical and practical nursing situations.
- Critically analyze, interpret and conceptualize complex nursing practice.
- Demonstrate a global outlook with respect for cultural diversity, including Indigenous cultural competence.
- Demonstrate autonomy, accountability, and judgment for own learning and professional nursing practice in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia standards for practice.
- Demonstrate the Registered Nurse Standards for Practice required by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia for registration.
- Independently communicate nursing knowledge, concepts and values clearly and coherently.
- Work collaboratively within the nursing team and with other healthcare professionals to ethically and effectively respond to diverse healthcare challenges.
