    Program Description

The Bachelor in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (BA) program at Charles University provides students with a solid grounding in political science, including international relations, philosophy with a focus on political philosophy and social ethics, and economics.

Emphasis is placed on learning to analyse complex social, political and economic problems in a multidisciplinary manner and solve them from complementary perspectives. Since, traditionally, PPE study programs aim at educating civic, political and business leaders, philosophy is included in the curriculum to foster critical and creative thinking and to stress the importance of ethical and global dimensions of the social, political and economic reality.
