    Program Description

    The Bachelor in History and Area Studies program at Charles University focuses on modern history, culture, and politics with respect to Czechia in Central European and global context. It combines education in history and area studies with active training of the Czech language.

    The program is designed to equip students with Czech language fluency, cultural competence, historical knowledge and social understanding of Central Europe. It greatly enhances the student’s ability to consider issues from an interdisciplinary perspective and to conduct research and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
