The job outlook is excellent for those with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering. It is one of the fastest-growing fields in engineering; employment of industrial engineers is projected to grow 12 percent from 2023 to 2033, which is much faster than the average growth rate for all occupations.
Nationwide, there were 351,100 jobs in the field in 2024, and Wisconsin has one of the highest concentrations of industrial engineers in the nation.
