Program Description

Your studies with us will be a carefully balanced blend of theory and practice. You will gain hands-on experience in field and studio recording, explore the manipulation, editing and mixing of sound using analogue and digital systems and workflows, investigate acoustics and psychoacoustics, as well as signal processing, programming, and electronics. You decide the path your educational journey takes through your participation in our module choice process.

Foundation year entry requirements:

  • At least IELTS 5.5 overall including 5.5 in each band/component.

Other accepted qualifications:

  • International Advanced Levels (A Levels)
  • HNC qualifications in a related subject
  • HND qualifications in a related subject

Alternative English language requirements:

  • Our preferred tests are IELTS, TOEFL iBT (80 overall and a minimum of 17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking) and Pearson PTE ( 57 overall and a minimum of 51 in all components), so we recommend you take one of these if possible. We also recognise the following qualifications/tests:
  1. Trinity College: Integrated Skills in English (ISE)
  2. LanguageCert International ESOL SELT tests
  3. International English Language Competency Assessment (IELCA)

Important Information:

  • If you don't meet our English language requirements, we offer a range of courses which could help you achieve the level required for entry. We also provide our own English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT) in the UK and overseas.
