Program Description

The goal of the Bachelor in Applied Economics (BSc) is to train professionals who are familiar with fundamental economic concepts and relationships, capable of structured, model-based, critical thinking, proficient in using a wide range of data analysis tools, and possess basic knowledge of the social sciences.

This combination of these knowledge and skills opens the doors to numerous Master’s programs for graduates, allowing them to specialize in the direction that interests them most. As a result, when entering the job market, they can not only find a profitable career but one that truly suits them.

Why is it worth choosing this program?

  • World-class international faculty.
  • In addition to a strong knowledge of economics, you will gain valuable data analysis skills.
  • Solid preparation for competitive international Master’s programmes and prestigious careers.
  • Opportunity to address real-world economic problems through practical exercises and dedicated project courses.
  • Economics is a very exciting field, and the feeling of being able to understand more and more aspects of the economic environment around us is captivating.
  • The programme has a small student body, allowing for much closer relationships to develop, whether between students or between students and faculty.
  • Throughout the programme, students continuously apply the knowledge they acquire – both in shorter, individual or group assignments and in semester-long project courses that require synthesizing knowledge across multiple courses. This provides them with extensive experience in applying what they’ve learned and in problem-solving.
  • We place great emphasis on teaching students to present the results of their analyses both in writing and orally – developing soft skills that are highly valued in the job market.
  • We treat mathematics as a tool, not something taught for its own beauty. Mathematics helps formalize economic problems and deepen understanding of data analysis tools.
