The general and clinical Master in Psychology (MA) is based on the Huntington campus of Marshall University, Huntington, West Virginia.
The Master in Psychology (MA) requires a minimum of 36 graduate credit hours, though students may complete significantly more, depending on their objectives. A common “core” of 24 credits is mandatory for all graduate psychology students. The remaining hours are selected in consultation with an advisor to meet students’ academic and professional goals. The Clinical Psychology area of emphasis requires a minimum of 23 specified credits beyond the core rather than 12 hours of electives.
Students have, also, the option of completing a research thesis.
