The master in Nursing (Mental Health) (MSc) provides students with the specialized knowledge and skills needed in providing nursing care to people with a range of mental health issues. Students develop competence in the communication, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with mental illness using evidence-based practice.
Through both clinical and laboratory training, students connect theory to practice as they develop necessary interpersonal and management skills. Graduates of the master in Nursing (Mental Health) (MSc) are placed on the Mental Health Nurses Register, ensuring their preparation for employment in the field and further specialization.
In order to be eligible to register to the Mental Health Nursing association, students must take additional related courses.
