Program Description
The master in Medicine (MD) is based on Georgian Higher Education Medicine Sectoral Benchmarks and complies with the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) standards. The study program ensures the preparation of qualified physicians with appropriate knowledge and competencies, who can effectively and competitively participate in the Healthcare field, both in the governmental and private sectors.

Learning Outcomes
- Using biomedical science fundamentals, students will define pathological processes and expected outcomes.
- Students will evaluate the clinical case, consult patients, define a diagnosis, and manage the patient's state. This is based on clinical sciences and the fundamental principles of the field.
- Students will evaluate disease-related social and psychological aspects using basic behavioral and psychosocial sciences knowledge.
- Students will use evidence-based principles, up-to-date scientific information, and research methods in medical practice and scientific research. In order to work effectively in the healthcare system, students will define and conduct disease prevention measures and promote health in accordance with public healthcare principles.
- Students will use ethical and legal principles in scientific and clinical practice.
- Students will effectively communicate with the patient, family members of the patient, colleagues, and other persons concerned.
- Students will obtain, analyze and distribute medical information using informational technologies.
- Students will perform laboratory experiments and medical manipulations.
- The student will demonstrate professionalism.
