Program Description

How do you balance progress with sustainability or the needs of the many with the interests of the few? These questions are ever more relevant in the UK, yet qualified planners are scarce.

Study for the Master in Town Planning (MSc) and you’ll gain the all-around professional skills required to shape policy and strategy, plan sustainably, negotiate or manage the planning process, and balance competing priorities.

You will explore the practical, from the technical and environmental aspects of construction to the many legal, political, social, aesthetic, and economic issues you’ll consider, and reconcile, as a planner.

The Master in Town Planning (MSc) is accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute and provides two years' free student membership of the institute alongside a route to full Chartered status of the Institute attainable two years after graduation. This paves your way to a successful Town Planning career.
