Criminology and Policing (with Foundation) (BA) - ARU

The Bachelor in Criminology and Policing (BA) program will allow you to balance an exploration of complex criminological perspectives with the practical application of policing skills and knowledge.

By considering the relationship between society and the criminal justice system, and simulating real-life activities such as investigating crime scenes, you’ll develop skills that will help you succeed professionally in the police service, or in a policy-related/criminal justice agency environment.

The Foundation Year will prepare you for the rest of your course. We’ll focus on general skills such as researching and referencing, numeracy and ICT, and communication. But we’ll also start to look at the English legal and criminal justice systems, and specific areas of law including business and criminal law.
