The aim of the bachelor in Pharmacy (BSc) (πτυχίο Φαρμακευτικής (BSc)) is to prepare students scientifically and professionally as perfectly competent in the science of drugs and bioactive compounds, for employment in the private and public sectors, i.e. pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry, state drug authorities and other departments concerned with drugs, poisons, and cosmetics.

- Develop and demonstrate deep and broad knowledge in pharmaceutical, social/behavioral/administrative, and clinical sciences. Especially, in the content of raw materials and drugs and their physical, chemical, biological and microbiologic control, their kinetics, activity and toxicological profile.
- Use and combine knowledge gained from their education to come up with conclusions about drug action and administration.
- Research and critically analyse scientific literature related to issues concerning their field of expertise.
- Apply standards, guidelines and legislation, best practice, and established procedures related to the safe and effective use of drugs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and colleagues in health management and health promotion.
- Evaluate personal, social, economic, and environmental conditions aiming at optimizing health and wellbeing.
- Acquire the language and communication skills required for expert pharmaceutical work.
- Have good knowledge of pharmacotherapies, drug development and safety in drug use.
- Collaborate with individuals, families, and communities to provide quality health care.
- Demonstrate integrity, honesty, knowledge of ethical principles and professional conduct and ability to apply these principles towards clinical care, research, education or community services.
- Design preventive and educational practices for disease management and health promotion.
- Help diminish discrimination and inequality regarding access to quality health care.
- Recognise the vocational role of their profession.
