Federation University (Mt Helen)

The campus is located 10 kilometers from Ballarat's city center and is surrounded by natural bushland, which attracts a variety of bird species as well as resident kangaroos and koalas. An indoor swimming pool/aquatic center, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, an all-weather athletics track, two gymnasiums, a weight training studio, squash courts, a canoeing lake, several sports fields, and walking trails are among the impressive sporting and leisure facilities. The campus is equipped with cutting-edge teaching and research facilities, a library, studios and lecture theaters, and a children's center. The Mt Helen Campus also houses the Ballarat Technology Park, which is home to major employers such as IBM and the State Revenue Office.
