Established in 2007, Karabuk Universitesi (Karabuk University) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Karabuk (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). The University is located in an economically and strategically effective region in the Western Black Sea Region of Turkey. Also, Karabuk is a beautiful and peaceful city, two-thirds of which are covered with forests. At Karabuk University, there are 14 faculties (Dentistry, Literature, Science, Fine Arts, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Theology, Communication, Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering, Forestry, Health Sciences, Technical Education, Technology, Medicine, and Tourism), 2 institutes (Graduate and Demir Celik), 5 academies (Physical Education and Sports, State Conservatory, Health School, Civil Aviation School, School of Foreign Languages), and 9 vocational schools (including Vocational Schools of Justice and Social Sciences). Currently, there are approximately 50,000 students and 900 academic staff at Karabük University. With its 7,500 foreign students, Karabük University is among the universities with the highest number of foreign students in state universities in Turkey. Since hospitality is an important element of Turkish culture, it is a factor that makes the lives of foreign students in Turkey more efficient, more active, and happier.
