Program Description

The 3-year Diploma in Cookery (Professional Chef) of City and Guilds, London offers candidates the unique opportunity to gain 3 Diplomas during their studies: Diploma in Introduction to Professional Cookery, Diploma in Professional Cookery, and Diploma in Advanced Professional Cookery.

Students will become Professional Chefs by completing these industry qualifications. Towards the end of their studies they will gain knowledge and advanced skills required to become professional chefs. They will gain knowledge on gastronomy, advanced skills and techniques in producing dishes and understanding how to use supervisory skills. They will further their learning by undertaking practical tasks in the kitchen covering preparation activities such as preparing and cooking 3 course meals for lunch or dinner as well as events.

The Diploma in Cookery (Professional Chef) provides a unique opportunity for students to enhance their learning and at the same time introduces them to the industry workforce.

These qualifications are specialized vocational training programs especially designed to help professionals and beginners enhance their knowledge and skill with sole purpose in their career advancement. These are aligned to the Global Hospitality Certification, developed in partnership with Worldchefs and managers of leading hotels around the world.

All diplomas are sent by the educational organization City & Guilds London.

Students come to class 3 times a week 12hours – 2 times for practical courses (8hrs) and 1 for theoretical courses (4hrs).
