Program Description

The Department of Psychology was established under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (formerly "Faculty of Arts and Sciences") and started admitting students in the academic year, 1997-1998. Currently, the department holds a prestigious position in the field, thanks to its experienced academic staff specializing in the various subfields of psychology and the curriculum that is constantly improved to meet international and national standards.

The objective of the undergraduate programme in psychology is to train students who comprehensively know about basic principles, theories, scientific methods and techniques about psychology and its subfields, who are capable of scientific and critical thinking, who protect professional and ethical principles, and have a capacity of creating solutions for individual and social problems with an interdisciplinary point of view.
