The Bachelor in Biological Sciences (BSc) course curriculum is shaped by the work of world-leading researchers to make sure students are learning the latest advances. This will also help them gain an understanding of the fundamentals of the field.
Biological Sciences looks at life in all its forms. It has a particular focus on the cellular level, from molecular and chemical processes to the details of cellular function. In other words, it’s the study of living things - how they respond to each other and the environment around them.
Students will pick modules that interest them throughout the course, and, if they want to, they will have the opportunity to transfer onto a different life sciences degree if they choose the relevant modules. They have the flexibility to either graduate with BSc (Hons) Biological Sciences or choose a pathway – Bioinformatics or Plant Sciences – to have these added to their degree title.
The Bachelor in Biological Sciences (BSc) is ranked in the top 100 by the QS World University Rankings for Biological Sciences.
