The Bachelor in Nursing (BSc) degree at Semmelweiss University helps nurses organize, manage and supervise all their medical tasks in every area of health care.
In the first year of the program, students study basic health sciences subjects (e.g. Anatomy, Physiology and Pathophysiology, Public Health and Epidemiology), followed by nursing-specific theoretical and practical courses, as well as clinical practice. The fourth year revolves around field practices and thesis writing. After a successful final examination and thesis defense, students receive their Bachelor in Nursing (BSc) degree certificate.
Graduates of the Bachelor in Nursing (BSc) program are able to provide health care treatment for each age group, from premature infants to elderly patients, explore the special needs of the patient and the person cared for, prepare nursing diagnoses and perform tasks professionally on the basis of priorities and participate in planning, developing and implementing health care and social services.
