Program Description

The Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics at ADEMA University School in Mallorca is a four-year program, taught in Spanish. The program applies an innovative methodology based on learning and service projects, and includes clinical practice with real patients.

Eating and drinking are basic human needs; in order to survive, humans must be nourished. But eating is more than just ingesting nutrients. Food does not only have a physiological value or function, but also a social one; it is ingested in a cultural environment.

It is true that promoting and maintaining a healthy diet that reaches the entire population is the main objective of preventing chronic non-communicable diseases, such as obesity, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular diseases, etc. However, evidence-based dietary strategies for healthy eating in our population include public food policies, interventions in the food environment, and effective communication and education strategies.

Thus, the ADEMA University School seeks to lead this field with new research and a quality educational program for future Dietitians-Nutritionists. It offers its students the opportunity to acquire the necessary tools in the field of nutrition and dietetics, based on project-based learning and clinical practice.3
