Program Description

The bachelor in English Literature (BA Hons) is devised to help students, through the study of basic knowledge, to acquire a strong theoretical background, critical ability, and research skills at higher levels of study. At the same time, the knowledge of English language and culture and the moral responsibility and sensitivity in matters of gender are emphasized.

The bachelor in English Literature (BA Hons) is offered in collaboration with the University of Sunderland. It is addressed to candidates who wish to acquire a broad knowledge of the movements of literature and the types and genres of language from the Anglo-Saxon period to the present day.

Graduates of the department will have acquired a highly respected degree, which will help them in the business world where they can apply for competitive positions.
