The Bachelor in Archaeology (BA) at Leiden University encompasses the study of societies, cultures, and human behaviour from the past, aiming to reconstruct and revive them. The program offers two specializations: Heritage and Society (BA) and World Archaeology (BA).
In the Heritage and Society specialisation, students will explore the role of heritage in society. World Archaeology in Leiden encompasses the study of societies, cultures, and human behaviour from the past, aiming to reconstruct and revive them.
Through the Bachelor in Archaeology (BA), students will make a meaningful contribution to the knowledge of humankind by studying the activities and behaviour of people from the past. With learnings from history, they will gain new insights into our present-day world. They will look at contemporary issues like migration, globalisation, and climate change through an archaeological lens.
