Program Description

A B.S. in General Accounting with specialization in taxation, will provide you with new ways of thinking, and acute insights into tax preparation, planning and compliance that help businesses and clients stay competitive in a global marketplace.

By pursuing a General Accounting degree with specialization in Taxation, your studies will be focused on tax reporting and regulations for individuals, corporations, and partnerships. You will also expand your knowledge about the business environment and ethical behavior through the application of tax-related principles.

The B.S. in General Accounting: Taxation program will enable you to sit for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Examination, but not the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination. However, additional appropriate coursework can be completed to address the necessary CPA Examination requirements.
