A sustainable future is important to you and you want to take on responsibility – but also pursue a career in line with your values. But what role do companies play in times of ecological crisis and how can they contribute to transformative change? How can we develop business models that are both profitable and sustainable? How can we change the flow of money, but also consumer behavior in our global world? To answer these questions, you want to apply business management as well as economic, psychological, and financial approaches in companies and organizations.
The course combines modules on management with focus modules on aspects of sustainability, starting with theoretical and political aspects of global responsibility, the discussion of corporate and financial aspects of sustainability, and options for fairer and more sustainable value chains and consumer behavior.
In the interdisciplinary course, you will find the basics of management, finance, consumer behavior, and various approaches from the sustainability sciences. The focus is on applying your skills to real-world problems. During your semester abroad, you can deepen your skills at one of Karls' partner universities.
