Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, the students should be able to:

  • Know the structure of the face and body, which are the main subjects of the field of study. This is so that the student can independently apply the most appropriate and effective treatments in an aesthetics center.
  • Practice the profession in accordance with the legislative framework and the rules regarding the hygiene and safety of beauty centers, as well as beauty and wellness units.
  • Understand the general epistemological background in medical and health sciences. These specific courses give students the essential tools to know the human body/organism, in order to understand correctly the aesthetic approach to clinical problems and pathological conditions in the specific field (e.g. cellulite, acne, skin aging, pathological hair growth, etc.).
  • Apply cosmetic products and recognize their basic properties and characteristics. This will strengthen their cognitive training and their ability to equip a beauty center with the appropriate cosmetic products. They will also propose suitable products according to each skin type. At the same time, cosmetology courses significantly enhance knowledge of alternative and specialized treatments applied in aesthetic centers.
  • Understand the evolving and multifaceted field of aesthetics, since beyond basic courses, students are educated epistemologically and practically in wellness courses, learning innovative applied techniques, developed in the specific sector. These courses significantly enhance their knowledge and strengthen their professional qualifications.
  • Design, equip and manage an aesthetics center with all current specifications and according to the required safety and health rules.
  • Promote and advertise their workplace and services in the field of aesthetics.
