The Associate Degree in Philosophy is designed as a pathway for students who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in philosophy or similar major at a California State University (CSU) campus.

The department is committed to providing as many students as possible at Contra Costa College exposure to the value reflections of both identity and meaning that have evolved historically and culturally in all aspects of human awakening. Spiritual, ethical, and social reflections define and record the growing answers to life’s defining questions.

After finishing the two-year program, you can transfer to a public or private university to pursue a degree.
