The first year of the Bachelor in Midwifery (BSc) program at Semmelweiss University focuses on the basic subjects of health sciences (e.g. Anatomy, Physiology and Pathophysiology, Public Health and Epidemiology), then follows Midwifery-specific theoretical and practical subjects, as well as clinical practices. The fourth year revolves around field studies and thesis writing. After a successful final examination and thesis defense, students receive their bachelor degree (BSc) certificate in Midwifery.
The Bachelor in Midwifery (BSc) program meets international standards and the educational requirements of the Hungarian Accreditation Committee (MAB). The obtained degree is automatically recognized in the European Union, so students can start working with it immediately after graduation.
