The first year of the Bachelor in Optometry (BSc) program focuses on the basic subjects of health sciences (e.g. Anatomy, Physiology and Pathophysiology, Public Health and Epidemiology), then Optometry-specific theoretical and practical subjects, as well as clinical practices. The fourth year of the program revolves around field practices and thesis work. After a successful final examination and thesis defense, students receive the bachelor certificate (BSc) in Optometry.
The Bachelor in Optometry program meets international standards and the educational requirements of the Hungarian Accreditation Committee (MAB). The obtained degree is automatically recognized in the European Union, so students can start working with it immediately after graduation.
