Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics consists of Analysis and Functions Theory, Applied Mathematics, Topology, Algebra and Numbers Theory, and Geometry. The purpose of the Mathematics Department is to teach the analysis and development of principles, methods and systems of mathematics in accordance with the purposes of Turkish National Education and their mutual relations, and to deliver education on the application of the principles and methods in scientific and technological fields. So a good mathematician with a modern level of scientific thinking skills and research capabilities, internalizing the universal and national values besides the practice of his/her profession, respectful to the human rights and ethical values, beneficial to self, family, nation and humanity is aimed at.
