The Master in Archaeology (MA) (Μεταπτυχιακό Αρχαιολογίας (MA)) at Uppsala University lets students analyse historical processes and phenomena. Using methods from the natural sciences, the program provides a broad education in cultural heritage, history and environment studies.
The program is ideal for students who are interested in contract archaeology, cultural heritage management, or a career as researchers. They will acquire skills in field studies, different methods and interpretative models in the exploration of the past. Through laboratory exercises, they will learn Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and during fieldwork, they will dig under supervision.
The Master in Archaeology (MA) (Μεταπτυχιακό Αρχαιολογίας (MA)) program is vocational, but will also provide students with research experience.
