Condensed matter physics is the field of physics devoted to the studies of structure and properties of matter which is in condensed state (solid and liquids, crystalline and amorphous, inanimate matter and biological objects). Nearly all fields of human activities (solid state physics, atomic and nuclear physics, biophysics, geophysics, chemistry of solids and biochemistry, and many others) are directly related to research of a matter in condensed state or they apply methods and concepts developed in condensed matter physics.
Our program is focused on training the specialists in the field of development, analysis, and application of novel materials for space, military complex and medicine as well as for nuclear engineering, non-destructive testing in industry and customs. However, an individual with fundamental knowledge of the world and skills in solving differential equations can find application for his expertise in a wide range of fields.
