Program Description

You will explore the evidence base underpinning current public health policy relating to children aged 0-11 in the UK and internationally, covering topics including perinatal health, nutrition and immunisations. Your studies will take an integrated approach encompassing the biological, psychological and social influences affecting children’s long-term educational and emotional development and the public health policies and interventions that can support these.

Note:
Tuition fees for years of study after your first year are subject to an increase of 3%.

  • A degree in a related discipline (for example nursing, midwifery, childhood studies, education, psychology, sociology, mental health).
  • If you don’t have an undergraduate degree you should have significant relevant work experience.
  • You may also be asked to attend an interview and you will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check (previously known as a Criminal Records Bureau, or CRB, Check).
