Program Description

The course is delivered through our College of Human and Health Sciences, giving you the benefit of our extensive cross-disciplinary teaching and research expertise. Our course consists of core modules which are mapped against the four pillars of advanced practice which are set out within Welsh advanced practice framework. This equips you with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop your practice.

As practitioners working in clinical practice we constantly review the course to reflect the current needs of the health care community. Our academic team is made up of professionals who are active in their specialities including advanced practitioners and a medical practitioner. We work in partnership with local health boards and the Welsh Ambulance Service Trust in the selection of all applicants for this programme.

Admission Requirements:

  • To apply for this course you need to be qualified for a minimum of three years and have a degree or its equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • Acceptance on to the course is made collaboratively between the University and your employer and all applicants will be interviewed in conjunction with their respective health board.
  • Prior to applying for this course you need to discuss whether your employers are willing to support your application.

  • CaMLA - Certificate of Proficiency in English (ECPE): 650
