Program Description

Biological Sciences are a wide and fascinating subject, involving the scientific study of living organisms from bacteria to the largest mammals and the environments they inhabit, and this course will help you to develop knowledge and skills to open up a range of exciting career opportunities. This course is for students who don’t yet know where their interest lies – whether in biology, zoology or marine biology. The BSc Biological Sciences course is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology, and covers themes including animal and marine welfare and conservation, the biological control of invertebrate pests, microbiology, and ocean and climate.

Note:
Fees for full time Undergraduate EU/International students will increase by 3% for each subsequent year of study.

  • A level (or equivalent) typical offer: ABB-BBB, to include Biology or Human Biology.
  • International Baccalaureate: to include 5 in HL Biology or Human Biology
  • BTEC: DDM, plus at least one GCSE grade B in Science Only science-based BTECs will be considered (excluding Animal Management and Health Science).

Alternative English Language Qualifications:

  • Swansea ELTS test (SWELT): 6.0
  • INTO English Language Assessment: 169
  • CaMLA - Certificate of Proficiency in English (ECPE): 650
  • Euroexam @ C1 academic level: Pass
