Biomedical Science

Biomedical Science is at the forefront of pioneering advances in medicine. In our leading-edge biomedical laboratory facility set in the heart of our historic campus, you’ll explore this vibrant field, joining our Biosciences group – rated 6th in the UK for overall student satisfaction by the Guardian League Table 2020.

Through a series of health laboratory challenges, you’ll be trained in the diagnosis, monitoring, treatment and prevention of disease. With a focus on practical exploration and assessment, these exercises will build your capability and confidence to undertake your own laboratory research.

You’ll finish the course well-prepared to graduate to a career in medical research and health services, or to progress to professional training in medicine, dentistry, nursing or teaching.
